RoadDocket allows users to create and manage road hazard reports. Depending on how you use the app, the app may collect and store information you enter or choose to attach, including:
Hazard descriptions, notes, severity, risk details, and report timestamps
Road names, areas, landmarks, and other location details
GPS coordinates captured from your device if you choose to use location features
Photos captured with the camera or selected from the photo library
Reporter details such as name, phone number, and email address
Recipient email addresses and emergency or dispatch phone numbers entered by the user
Generated PDF reports and backup files created from app data2. How Your Information Is Used
RoadDocket uses the information you provide to:
Create and save road hazard reports
Help identify the location and severity of reported hazards
Attach photo evidence to reports
Generate PDF reports
Prepare reports for sharing, export, or email
Create and restore backup files
Support emergency-aware reporting workflows when high-risk conditions are identified
RoadDocket is designed as a practical field reporting tool and uses the information only to support its reporting and documentation functions.3. Local Storage
RoadDocket is designed to store report data locally on your device.
This may include:
Report details
Attached photos
Generated PDFs
Backup data
Saved profile or routing information entered in the app
RoadDocket does not require a user account to create reports.4. Sharing of Information
RoadDocket does not automatically share your report data with third parties.
Information is shared only when you choose to do so, for example when you:
Share a PDF using the iPhone share sheet
Send report information by email
Export a backup file
Transfer files outside the app
Once you share information outside the app, its handling is governed by the services, apps, or recipients you choose, such as email providers, cloud storage services, or messaging tools.5. Device Permissions
RoadDocket may request access to certain device features to support app functionality:
Location: to capture GPS coordinates or improve location context
Camera: to take photos for hazard reports
Photos: to attach images from your photo library
These permissions are used only when you choose features that require them. You can control permissions through your device settings.6. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
RoadDocket is not designed around advertising or cross-app tracking.
The current version of RoadDocket is intended as a focused field reporting tool and does not use the app’s reporting workflow to serve ads or perform cross-app behavioral tracking.7. Data Retention
Information stored by RoadDocket generally remains on your device until you:
Delete reports
Remove related files
Replace data through a restore or import process
Delete the app from your device
If you export or share reports, PDFs, or backups, copies may remain in the destinations you selected and may no longer be controlled by the app.8. Backups and Imports
RoadDocket may allow you to export and import backup files. Backup files can include report metadata, photos, and generated PDFs.
You are responsible for how exported backup files are stored, shared, or retained once they leave the app.
When importing a backup, existing local data may be merged or replaced depending on the option you choose.9. Data Security
RoadDocket uses a local-first design to reduce unnecessary data exposure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
You are responsible for helping protect your information by:
Using device security features such as Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode
Limiting access to your device
Sharing reports only with intended recipients
Handling exported PDFs and backup files carefully10. Children’s Privacy
RoadDocket is not directed to children under the age of 13 and is not intended for use by children.11. Third-Party Services
If you choose to share reports through email, file sharing, cloud storage, or other third-party apps or services, those services may collect or process your information under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy applies only to RoadDocket itself.12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
